Coming to bat at No. 3, Virat Kohli started aggressively on Sunday (November 19) during India’s World Cup 2023 final against Australia, taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The talismanic batter raced to 25 off 23 balls with the help of four boundaries.

Out of his four fours, three came on successive deliveries, and the man who was at the receiving end was none other than Australia’s main man from the attack, Mitchell Starc.

Coming to bowl the seventh over, Starc began with a fullish delivery against which Kohli played a lofted drive. The top-order batsman did not get the elevation he was hoping for, yet it was enough to clear the fielder from the circle before the ball touched the boundary rope.

Then Kohli showed class, punching a length delivery through the gap between point and backward point for another gorgeous four. After that, the Virat Kohli cover drive made headlines, coming down the track to play it handsomely.
