When Virat Kohli is on fire, no other batsman on the field looks as good as him. The talismanic batter looked at his best on Monday (September 11), when India's Asia Cup Super Four match resumed on the reserve day at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Under overcast conditions, Kohli struck the first beautiful shot of the day during the 27th over of the innings. More importantly, it was against Naseem Shah, who was Pakistan's pick of the bowlers the other day and only gave up two runs in his first over.

It was a back-of-a-length delivery by Naseem that was swinging away from Kohli. The 34-year-old intentionally opened the bat face late and steered towards short third for an excellent boundary.

Fakhar Zaman tried as much as he could to stop the boundary, but the timing was so perfect, that the ball raced towards the ropes at lightning pace.

At the time of writing, India are going strong, batting on 205/2 in 33.2 overs. Virat Kohli is batting on 33, while KL Rahul is on 50* on his return.
