RCB legend Virat Kohli entertained a lively crowd at the Chepauk Stadium with a hilarious dance number during the mid-innings break of his team’s opening IPL 2024 clash against CSK.
At a time when the cricketer was involved in a fielding practice near the boundary alongside Glenn Maxwell and several other teammates, he pointed towards a section of the crowd and teased them with a hilarious dance to the tunes of the DJ.
Virat Kohli teases Chennai crowd with a dance
Virat Kohli, stationed near the boundary for a fielding drill during the mid-innings break, entertained a section of the crowd by pulling out one of his hilarious and trademark dance numbers.
Interestingly, the legendary Indian batter also teased Australian batting stalwart Marnus Labuschagne with a similar dance number back in September 2023 at Rajkot.
As far as cricketing action is concerned, RCB listed 173-6 from their 20 overs after skipper Faf du Plessis had won the toss and opted to bat first. Virat Kohli himself scored a fluent 21, and scaled the 12,000-run mark through the course of his brief innings.
Wicketkeeper-batter Anuj Rawat clubbed an enterprising 25-ball 48 while seasoned warhorse Dinesh Karthik blasted an unbeaten 38.
Among all CSK bowlers, Bangladesh-based fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman picked up four key wickets, including the prized-scalp of Virat Kohli to finish with astonishing figures of 4-29 from his four overs.
