[Watch] Cameron Green's Juggling Catch Ends Ruturaj Gaikwad's Knock On CSK Captaincy Debut

Ruturaj Gaikwad replaced MS Dhoni as captain just a day before the start of the IPL 2024 and he would have hoped to start off his captaincy journey by leading from the front. He started with a boundary and looked decent during his knock of 15, but Yash Dayal on his RCB debut got the better of him with a lovely delivery. 

Cameron Green was the one who took the catch and almost made a mess of it before holding onto it in the second attempt. It was the final delivery of the 4th over and Yash Dayal bowled it on a fullish length, around off, angling across the right-hander. Gaikwad tried to drive it, but the ball caught the outside edge of his blade and Cameron Green at first slip after a juggling effort took a catch.

Earlier, RCB managed to score 173 after electing to bat first after Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik blasted CSK bowlers at the death. They were initially in trouble though when they lost half of their side for 78 with Mustafizur picking four early wickets. 

Despite the early wicket, CSK are in control and RCB have to take some quick wickets if they want to win this curtain raiser of IPL 2024.
