Legendary batter Virat Kohli had a memorable outing in India's ongoing Asia Cup Super 4 clash against arch-rivals Pakistan, as he slammed a flamboyant fifty, studded with some glorious boundaries. The veteran batter played a pivotal role in powering India to a daunting total, stitching a priceless third-wicket stand with keeper-batter KL Rahul.

The high-voltage Indo-Pak encounter was interrupted on Sunday, with rain playing spoilsport multiple times during India's innings. However, a clearer weather led to the game's resumption on Monday, as India restarted their innings from 147 for two in 24.1 overs.

As soon as the game began, ace Pakistani speedster Naseem Shah tested the Indian duo with probing lines. However, Kohli held his nerve and punished the poor deliveries, completing a fabulous fifty in this process.

His knock involved delicate cuts and picturesque drives along with some monstrous hits off finger spinner Iftikhar Ahmed. The Indian stalwart completed his half century in just 55 balls, helping India put up a commendable batting performance on the reserve day.

Rahul also had a great time in the middle, as he frustrated the Pakistani bowlers with his scintillating stroke play. Riding on their heroics, India have raced to 280 for two in 43 overs, with Kohli and Rahul batting on 76* and 82*, as of writing.
