On Sunday, the excitement of cricket fans reached a whole new level as arch-rivals India and Pakistan took on each other in a high-voltage Asia Cup Super Four clash. However, to their misfortune, rain played spoilsport midway in the game when India were firmly placed on 147 for two in 24.1 overs. The game eventually shifted to the reserve day, as a persistent downpour resulted in no further play on Sunday.

Considering how things have panned out in the last few days, fans from across the world seem displeased with the ACC for mismanagement. The fact that the organisers scheduled a majority of the tournament in Colombo despite prevailing inclement weather in the city hasn't gone well with the passionate fans.

So, as there have been plenty of rain interruptions, the netizens have slammed ACC for bizarre scheduling of the showpiece event.

Here are some of the best Twitter reactions

It's worth a mention that the Asia Cup 2023 was originally scheduled in Pakistan. However, the BCCI refused to travel to the country due to the geopolitical differences between the two nations. In such a scenario, a significant portion of the tournament had to be staged in Sri Lanka. However, the weather gods haven't been kind to the Men in Blue, as their all three games have been interrupted due to rain.

Meanwhile, as per the latest update, the India versus Pakistan game will restart at 4.40 PM IST, with India resuming their innings from 147 for two in 24.1 overs. It will be a 50-over per side affair unless rain intervenes the fascinating clash once again.
