In the opening moments of the 4th Test, Day 1 clash between arch-rivals England and Australia, the former opted to take charge with their bowling attack. Australia, in response, sent David Warner and Usman Khawaja as their opening pair. David Warner wasted no time and kick-started his innings with an impressive a boundary. However, his partner Usman Khawaja struggled to find his footing, managing only 3 runs off 19 balls before being dismissed by Stuart Broad.

Notably, this wicket marks a significant milestone for Stuart Broad, as he now adds Usman Khawaja's dismissal to his impressive tally of 599 wickets in the Ashes series.

Stuart Broad broke the first blood with a full in-swinging delivery. Khawaja misjudged the line and attempted a defensive shot, but the ball nipped in and struck him in front of the stumps, leading to an massive appeal from the English players.

Despite the initial doubt in Khawaja's mind, he chose to review the decision, but it went in vain as he could only waste a review for his team at Old Trafford.

Here's the Video:

After Khawaja's early dismissal, Warner found a reliable partner in Marnus Labuchagne at the other end, and the duo took the Aussie total past 50. However, an unplayable delivery from Chris Woakes saw the back of the southpaw at 32.

At the time of writing, Australia have lost both their openers with 61 runs on the board after 14 overs.
