Ravindra Jadeja, playing in his second home (Chennai) is a big threat against the best in the business.

He showed his bowling skills once again in the ongoing World Cup 2023 match against Australia. After the fall of Mitch Marsh early in the innings, Australia started the repair work with David Warner and Steve Smith at the crease. However, the wicket of Warner changed the complexion of the match as wickets started to tumble at regular intervals.

Jadeja, who joined the action, castled Smith's stumps with a beauty, and he followed it up with the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne. Things turned from bad to worse for the Aussies, when Jadeja got the big fish, in the form of Alex Carey.

Carey, who looked unsure in the middle, was expecting the ball to turn from Jadeja. However, the Indian all-rounder bowled a straighter one and trapped Carey on the front leg. The umpire had no hesitation in raising the finger, and even Carey didn't go for the review.

Jadeja's spell in the middle overs has the tides in India's favour. The Australians have already lost half their sides, and the responsibility rests on the shoulders of Cameron Green and Glenn Maxwell to steer them to a competitive total.
