Riding on Ravindra Jadeja's sensational spell, India made a remarkable comeback in their World Cup opener against Australia in Chennai. After dismissing Steve Smith with an absolute peach, the ace all-rounder got rid of Marnus Labuschagne, pushing Australia down on the mat in this high-voltage clash.

The incident occurred in the 30th over when Indian captain Rohit Sharma continued with Ravindra Jadeja at one end to break the stand between Labuschagne and Glenn Maxwell.

The left-arm off spinner stepped up to the occasion, dismissing Labuschagne, who was looking rock-solid in the middle.

The ball was pitched slightly on the fuller length, as Labuschagne attempted for a wild sweep against the turn. However, the ball took an outside edge of his bat, with Indian keeper KL Rahul doing the rest behind the stumps. After taking the outside edge, the ball bounced awkwardly; so, Rahul's catch earned massive accolades from all corners.

After getting rid of Labuschagne, Jadeja further went to trap Aussie keeper-batter Alex Carey plumb in front of the stumps. As a result, Australia are reeling at 119 for five in 30.1 overs, with Maxwell and Cameron Green batting on 4* and 0*, respectively.
