On Sunday, July 21, India women registered a thumping 78-run win over UAE women in their 2nd game of the ongoing women's Asia Cup. 

With the win, India have kept a foot in the semis courtesy of fifties from Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh. However, credit must also go to Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues for their crucial 54-run stand for the 4th wicket, as India had lost three early wickets. 

Meanwhile, UAE bowler Vaishnave Mahesh hogged the headlines after she attempted to mankad Jemimah at the non-striker's end on her first ball of the match.

The spinner felt that Rodrigues was out of her crease but let her go with just a warning and a death stare.

After the match, the two players also sat down for a chat, where they shared a laugh at the incident and Vaishnave stated that "It's not nice to go away from the crease. It's in the rule book now."

India will now face Nepal in their last game of the group stage match. Even against UAE, Richa won the player of the match award for her efforts with the bat and in the field.
