[Watch] Trent Boult Bamboozles Ibrahim Zadran With A Clever Off-Cutter

Trent Boult and Powerplay wickets is a love story to behold! No matter what format it is, the man just takes wickets with new ball for fun and has played a crucial role in New Zealand's success over the years. He is once again leading the Kiwi attack in World Cup 2023 and in the game against Afghanistan at Chennai has picked yet another wicket with the new ball, outfoxing the opener Ibrahim Zadran.

New Zealand posted 288 in the first innings on the back of fifties by Will Young, Glenn Phillips and Tom Latham. In reply, Rahmanullah Gurbaz departed early as Matt Henry knocked him over with an absolute beauty and then it was Trent Boult's turn to weave his magic with another big wicket in the first delivery of the seventh over.

It was a fullish delivery from Trent Boult on middle and leg stump line and Ibrahim Zadran tried to flick it towards the leg side. However, it was an off-cutter from Boult which led to Zadran playing his shot early and ended up getting a leading edge which Santner grabbed comfortably while running forward from covers.

Afghanistan were soon reduced to 53-3 at the end of 14 overs with Matt Henry getting another one and at the time of writing, Rahmat Shah and Azmatullah Omarzai are fighting it out in the middle for Afghans.
