Travis Head, the dynamic batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), fell victim to the cunning bowling of Mahesh Theekshana in a crucial encounter against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing IPL 2024 season. Despite SRH's solid performance, Head's departure marked a significant moment in the match.

After Chennai Super Kings set a challenging target of 165 runs in Hyderabad, Travis Head stepped onto the pitch as an impact player for SRH. Throughout the season, the 30-year-old had displayed remarkable form with the bat, contributing significantly to his team's success.

However, Head's innings came to an abrupt end in the 10th over, courtesy of a clever delivery from Mahesh Theekshana. Despite scoring 31 runs off 24 balls, Head's dismissal proved pivotal in the match's narrative.

Theekshana's breakthrough moment arrived with a deceptively simple delivery that Head attempted to dispatch over deep backward square leg. Although Head's shot seemed well-timed, the ball found its way into the hands of Rachin Ravindra, stationed in the deep.

Ravindra initially fumbled but eventually managed to secure the catch, sending Head back to the pavilion in frustration.

As Head walked off, visibly disappointed, the partnership he shared was broken, altering the course of the game. Currently, SRH stands at 123 for 2, with Shahbaz Ahmed and Aiden Markram steering the innings with 5* and 49* runs respectively.
