Australia’s hard-hitting all-rounder Travis Head lived up to his lofty expectations on Saturday (October 28) in his first game of the World Cup. The 29-year-old, who came to play his first game of the showpiece event against New Zealand in Dharamsala, went berserk in the Powerplay, particularly against in-form Kiwi pacer Matt Henry.
While having an entertaining show, two back-to-back sixes that he smacked against Matt Henry during the 3rd over of Australia’s innings caught a lot of attention.
Henry bowled a fullish delivery to Head right in his slot, and the Australian opener took the gift with both hands. The ball sailed over the wide long-on for a 90-metre long six, which seemed like out of the stadium for some time due to an outrageous hitting.
Unfortunately, Henry overstepped before releasing that delivery, and thus, he gifted a free-hit to Head. The opener slammed yet another six on the following delivery, making it 13 runs off just one ball.
