Just when everyone thought Pakistan were out of the game against South Africa in Match 26 of the World Cup 2023, Haris Rauf pulled off a stunning effort to bring his side back into the game.

More significantly, Rauf did right after bowling an express 147 kph delivery to generate a lot more attention.

It was the third ball of the 46th over by Rauf, which was a full delivery toward the middle stump. Lungi Ngidi closed his bat face early, and thus, it got a leading edge toward Rauf. However, the ball was well away from the Pakistani pacer, and despite that, Rauf took his chance by throwing his body.

And Rauf did it alright, with supreme perfection. He extended his left hand forward and grabbed it superbly to make it one of the best catches of the tournament, if not the best.

Considering the magnitude of the match, Pakistani teammates were pumped up after Rauf's unreal successful effort. Even Rauf was thrilled, and Babar Azam and Co. were quick to congratulate him.

As of writing, South Africa, chasing 271, require five more runs in the last 18 balls with a wicket in hand.
