A dramatic incident took place on Friday (October 27) in Match 26 of the World Cup 2023 between Pakistan and South Africa at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

It all happened during the 17th over of South Africa’s innings when Haris Rauf bowled the first ball against Aiden Markram, who went for a pull and missed it completely. The ball went straight to Mohammad Rizwan, who waited for a little while to see Aiden Markram out of the crease.

In fact, Rizwan did an underarm throw towards the stumps, and it did break once Markram left the crease.

However, the ball was dead after Markram was out of the crease after getting indications from the umpires. And Rizwan knew that, and thus he immediately withdrew the appeal.

Before things heated up, Rizwan went straight to Markram and had a conversation with a smile on his face. Thankfully, it seemed all fun in the end, and there was no controversy that happened afterward.
