[Watch] Tom Kohler-Cadmore's One-Handed Stunner Leads Somerset To a Thrilling Win vs Essex in T20 Blast Final

In a remarkable turn of events, Somerset defeated Essex by a narrow 14-run margin to clinch the Vitality Blast trophy last night. Batting first, Somerset managed a modest 145-run total on the board, riding on Sean Dickson' fighting half century. In response, Essex were bowled out for a meagre 131, losing the game by 14 runs.

Chasing 146, Essex had a horrendous start to their innings, losing their top four cheaply inside five overs. Matt Henry was the wrecker-in-chief for Somerset, as he ran through the Essex top order. However, famed Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams didn't give up, smacking the Somerset bowlers to all parts of the ground and taking his side closer to the target with each passing over.

Essex required 21 runs in the final two overs with just one wicket in hand. However, considering Sams was set, anything was possible at that instant. Somerset captain Lewis Gregory turned up to his trump card Henry to bowl the penultimate over. After conceding a six in his first delivery, the veteran New Zealand seamer bounced back in style, removing Sams in the third ball and helping his side secure a magical victory.

However, it was Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who took a stunning catch to make it possible for Somerset. Sams was deceived by Henry's slow ball and edged it, with the ball being grabbed astonishingly by Kohler-Cadmore at short third-man. With that, Somerset clinched the Vitality Blast title for the second time after a whopping eighteen-year gap.
