Indian batting all-rounder Shivam Dube has been under scrutiny for his recent poor form with the bat. However, in a twist during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, it was his bowling that came under the spotlight. In the match against the USA in Big Apple, Dube’s first over was met with severe punishment.

During the USA's innings, Indian captain Rohit Sharma turned to Dube in the 8th over to assess his utility as a bowler. Unfortunately for Dube, his introduction to the attack did not go as planned. On his very first delivery, he was hit for a towering six. 

The USA batter, Steven Taylor, showcased his power by pulling a hard-length delivery flat over the mid-wicket fence.

The six was not just any ordinary maximum; it struck a security personnel on the chest, sending shockwaves through the Indian camp. 

The individual appeared to be fine, though it was clear he hadn’t seen the ball coming. Taylor’s powerful shot was a much-needed boost for the USA, who were struggling against India’s disciplined bowling attack.
