Things got heated up in the first T20I between India and South Africa at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban as Suryakumar Yadav and Marco Jansen exchanged a few words. 

The incident occured after the 2nd ball of the 15th over when Jansen was not happy with India keeper Sanju Samson for stepping at the centre of the wicket while collecting a throw. Jansen even gestured to the umpire over Samson's action.

Meanwhile, skipper Surya came to his player's defence and hurled a mouthful to Jansen, which is assumed to be telling him about the rules and countering that Samson was only doing his job to collect the throw that went away for a single.

Meanwhile, Samson was also heard saying to one of fellow teammates about the same and remarked that Jansen was unhappy with where he collected the throw. Eventually, the umpires that to separate the two and SKY was not happy with Jansen, who has over time developed a knack of sledging and involvement in disciplinary issues. 


It was a rare display of emotions for SKY as he usually dons a calm and smiling demenour whenever he steps on the pitch. 

India vs South Africa Match Summary

Talking about the match, Sanju Samson stole the show with his batting as he smashed his second straight T20I century and became the first Indian to do so. His knock helped India put 202 runs on the board. In reply, South Africa tumbled for just 141 runs and suffered a 61-runs defeat.

India will lock horns against South Africa for the 2nd T20I on November 10.
