Sanju Samson's Blazing Knock Takes India To A Formidable Total

Sanju Samson, the keeper-batter of the Indian team was the hero of the innings. Even after the early dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, Samson looked determined and packed a counter punch to the home team. The right-handed opening batter kept on taking the attack to the opposition and along with Suryakumar Yadav formed a partnership that laid the foundation for the team.

Even after the dismissal of Surya, Samson continued this thrashing of the Proteas and moved swfitly towards a brilliant Hundred. He went past the three figure mark of just 47 deliveries and it looked India would cross the 230 mark carried by him. However, Sanju fell in the in the 16th over after scoring 107 runs off 50 deliveries.

The dismissal Samson resulted in the drop of scoring rate of India. The visitors lost a few wickets towards the end of their innings and what looked like a 230 plus total was ultimatley restricted at 202/8.
