[Watch] Suresh Raina Turns Back The Clock With Direct Hit Runout

Gun Indian fielder and Urbanrisers Hyderabad captain Suresh Raina turned back time by pulling off a sensational direct hit from cover point against Bhilwara Kings in their Legends League Cricket 2023 clash in Jammu.

Raina’s victim and Bhilwara Kings number four Iqbal Abdulla found himself a couple of yards short of the crease as his misjudgment ended up worsening his team’s troubles at 95-4.


Raina unleashes fielding brilliance with direct hit

Leading his side Urbanrisers Hyderabad in match number 12 of the ongoing Legends League Cricket 2023 season, Suresh Raina unfurled one of the runouts of the tournament by packing Bhilwara Kings batter Iqbal Abdulla with a direct hit.

Stationed at cover point, Raina calmly gathered the ball before finding Abdulla a couple of yards short of his crease as Kings slumped further at 95-4 during a critical juncture of the contest.

Widely hailed as one of the greatest fielders of all time during his playing days for Team India, Suresh Raina was also praised by former South African cricketer and a fielding legend himself Jonty Rhodes back in 2019.

Following the runout, Bhilwara Kings stretched themselves to a competitive 144-6 by the end of their 20 overs off the back of crafty backend contributions from Yusuf Pathan and captain Irfan Pathan.

Suresh Raina’s Urbanrisers Hyderabad, who lost their previous game against Gujarat Giants by a run, need 145 to win against Bhilwara Kings to get their Legends League 2023 campaign back on track. As of now, they are placed at number three on the points table.
