On Day 2 of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, India showcased their dominance by piling up 376 runs, courtesy to a spectacular recovery led by Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. After slipping to 144-6, their partnership not only steadied the innings but also put the hosts in a commanding position.

However, amidst this on-field excellence, a tense moment involving the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, caught everyone’s attention.

During Bangladesh’s first innings, Rohit Sharma was visibly animated on the field. Known for his passionate demeanor, the Indian skipper was caught on camera expressing his frustration in a heated manner.

“Soye hue hain sab log Bh***ke!” he yelled, which translates to “Everyone’s asleep!” The intensity in his voice indicated his displeasure, but it was unclear who the comment was directed towards. This outburst, captured by the stump mic, soon made its way to social media, sparking discussions among fans and critics alike.

Rohit’s personal performance, however, didn’t reflect his fiery spirit. After scoring only six runs in the first innings, he was dismissed cheaply again, managing just five runs in the second innings. India’s decision to bat again, rather than enforce the follow-on, didn’t pay off as the top order struggled once more.

Despite these setbacks, India’s bowlers put the team in a strong position by bowling Bangladesh out for just 149 runs, with Jasprit Bumrah leading the charge.

India Lead By 308 Runs Against Bangladesh

At the close of play, India were 81 for 3, holding a commanding lead of 308 runs. However, the team lost three key wickets, including Yashasvi Jaiswal for 10 and Virat Kohli, who was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 17. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant then steadied the innings, aiming to push the lead beyond 450.
