Young batting sensation, Shubman Gill continued his rich vein of form to score his fourth Test century in the final Test against England at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. 

Following a tepid start to the series, Gill has bounced back with a vengeance, showcasing his mettle with a string of commanding performances that include two fifties and two centuries.

Gill's century which came early on Day 1, has propelled him to the position of the series' second-highest run-scorer behind teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Shubman Gill's century was reached in spectacular fashion during the 59th over, where a bold slog sweep off Shoaib Bashir’s delivery sailed over the infield, securing him a boundary and his century. This electrifying moment set the stadium alight, drawing thunderous applause from the crowd and a proud ovation from his father.

Team captain Rohit Sharma's embrace epitomized the team's collective joy and belief in Gill, who has been on an upward trajectory since a vital turn-around in Vizag.

As the teams broke for lunch on the first day, India stood in a commanding position at 264/1, already leading by 46 runs. With Rohit Sharma (102 not out) and Gill (101 not out) at the crease, the duo appears set to tighten India's grip on the game in the afternoon session. 

On the other hand, England find themselves in all sorts of trouble, desperately needing to break this partnership to stand any chance of clawing their way back into contention.
