Young Indian prodigy, Shubman Gill transformed the legendary English pacer, James Anderson, into an unwitting participant in a masterclass of batting on the second day of the fifth Test at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala in what was an electrifying display of dominance.

Gill’s six was a sight that once again highlighted the fearless approach of India's new-gen batsmen towards cricketing legends. 

With audacity and elegance, young Indian batters have been rewriting the playbook on how to engage with cricket's most feared bowlers, treating them with fearless aggression.

It all happened in the 34th over when Shubman Gill advanced down the track to meet Anderson's delivery head-on. What followed was a stunning loft straight down the ground—a six that was as clean as a whistle, leaving spectators and viewers in awe.

Not satisfied, Gill continued his assault, slicing a wide delivery from Anderson for four runs just a few balls later as he signalled his clear intention to keep the pressure on from the get-go on Day 2.

Meanwhile, the partnership between Indian captain Rohit Sharma and the young gun Gill is proving to be a thorn in England's side. Resuming the day at a comfortable 135/1, the duo quickly turned up the heat, adding quick runs to the board.

By the 50th over, India has marched to 230/1, leading by 12 runs, with Rohit and Gill at the helm, batting on 89* and 80* respectively. Their attacking 126-run partnership has sent a clear message to England—the hunt is very much on.
