There is nothing quite like Pakistani players’ fielding errors. And it happened yet again on Monday during Match 29 of the PSL 2024 between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, taking place at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The incident happened during the second over of Peshawar's innings when when Saim Ayub, batting on 1*, went to slog Shoaib Malik's tossed-up delivery. The Southpaw could only get a massive top-edge which was coming down near the mid-off region.

Placed at cover, Shan Masood went to catch that, but after watching Irfan Khan running from the boundary line, he stopped. That was never a catch for Irfan, as his valiant effort went in vain.

Masood did not like Irfan's efforts, as so was Malik. In fact, Pakistan's Test captain gave a scolding to his teammate for making the mistake, leaving everyone in splits. On the other hand, Ayub, who has been in astonishing form in the competition, got a lifeline.

Meanwhile, Zahid Mahmood did not allow Ayub to get going as he rattled the stumps to end his stay for a 18-ball 19.

As of now, Peshawar are batting on 59/1 after 7.1 overs, with Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris in the middle, on 26* and 2* respectively.
