In the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, India's middle order batter Shivam Dube finally found his form after back-to-back failures in the ongoing tournament. 

Stepping in after Axar Patel's horrific dismissal, Dube started with a boundary and showcased his explosive batting, bringing back momentum to India's innings. His cameo of 27 runs was, however, cut short by South Africa's pacer Anrich Nortje in the final over.

Nortje's low full toss outside off was met with a powerful swing from Dube, but he failed to get underneath the ball, hitting it flat to long off.

David Miller took a neat catch, ending Dube's innings. Although his stay was brief, Dube's aggression and intent were evident, and his contribution was crucial in helping India post a respectable total of 177 runs.

Earlier, Virat Kohli had led the charge with a solid 76 runs before falling to Marco jansen's delivery, and his partnership with Axar Patel had steadied the ship after India's top order collapse.
