Rohit Sharma became the first player to feature in 150 T20Is on Sunday (January 14) during India’s second T20I of the three-match series against Afghanistan at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. However, all the veteran brought to his ardent fans was disappointment, as a rash shot led him to fall for a golden duck on his special day.

Coming to chase 173, Rohit had one objective in his mind: get his team off to a flying start. However, Fazalhaq Farooqi had other ideas, as he bowled a length delivery towards the off stump. Rohit wanted to whack it over mid-wicket but failed to get any connection off the ball.

As a result, the ball hit the top of the off-stump, and Rohit had to return to the pavilion without scoring a single run. Farooqi, as well as the other Afghanistan players, were pumped up after getting India’s captain out so early, whereas Rohit seemed dejected after failing in successive matches.

Not to forget, Rohit fell for a two-ball duck when he had a horrible mix-up with Shubman Gill in the series opener.
