It seems like Shaheen Afridi, the premium Pakistan pacer was all pumped up for a showdown against the South African batters in the third ODI at the Wanderers. He looked animated right from the first over and celebrated every wicket as if it was his first.

The fast bowler has had a dream ODI series against the Proteas and he round it off with a commanding performance in the last match. The home team needed 309 runs to salvage some pride, however, Shaheen rocked them early with the wicket of Tony de Zorzi and gave him a fiery send-off.

However, the moment of the match came when the pacer scalped the biggest wicket of the game in the form of Heinrich Klaasen. The proteas powerhouse went berserk and smacked 81 off 43 balls as he threatened to take the game away from the visitors. However, Shaheen bagged his prized wicket and after that gave a death stare to the explosive batter. The two had an eye contact before Klaasen decided to walk off.

Pakistan seal historic ODI series

Pakistan thrashed South Africa 3-0 in the ODIs and became the first team in the history to inflict an ODI series whitewash at home for the Proteas side.

They won the first ODI by 3 wickets, courtesy of a Saim Ayub century, and it was followed by a one-sided 81-run win in the second game where Shaheen shone with the ball. In the third match, the Pakistan batters once again put on a brilliant show as Saim scored yet another ton and they inflicted a whitewash with a 36 run win.
