Fast bowlers are known for their aggressive send-offs and they generally are fiery characters on the field. One such animated reaction was given by Pakistan speedster, Shaheen Afridi during the 3rd ODI vs South Africa.

Shaheen has been in exceptional form in the ODIs, and when Pakistan posted 308 on the board, the Proteas batters had no choice but to come out all guns blazing against the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah and it backfired.

De Zorzi gave a quick-fire start to the Proteas as he reached 26 off 23 deliveries, but one moment of brilliance from Shaheen led to his demise. The Pakistan bowler delivered a vicious bouncer as the South African opener was hurried by it and he took his eyes off the ball. The delivery struck the handle of the bat and lobbed up as the pacer took a simple catch.

However, after the dismissal, Shaheen looked pumped up as he emulated a Virat Kohli style aggressive send-off by throwing the ball on the ground. Kohli, the Indian superstar is known for his fiery send-offs, something which Shaheen did against de Zorzi.

Pakistan whitewash the Proteas

In a monumental feat, Pakistan became the first team in ODIs to whitewash the Proteas in ODIs in their own backyard. The Mohammad Rizwan led side were at their imperial best as they decimated the home team without the slightest of difficulties.

In the third ODI, Pakistan once again breached the 300-run mark, courtesy of a brilliant hundred from Saim Ayub, who also scored a ton in the first match. The bowlers did the rest of the demolition job as South Africa lost the match by 36 runs (DLS method).
