In the ongoing BPL match between Fortune Barishal and Durbar Rajshahi at the Sylhet International Stadium, Shaheen Afridi stole the limelight as he picked his first wicket of the season. Notably, Shaheen, who went wicketless in the first two matches. 

In the ongoing game, the Rajshahi, batting first, put 168 runs on the board. Shaheen got the crucial wickets of skipper Anamul Haque and also sent Yasir Ali packing. On the first ball of the 16th over, Shaheen bowled a brilliant delivery that trapped Ali in front of the wickets. Shaheen Afridi Skips South Africa Tests To Play BPL

It is worth noting that Shaheen, who hasn't had the best of the tournament so far, skipped the ongoing South Africa tour to play in the Bangladesh Premier League. Notably, Shaheen had himself asked the board to not select him for the Proteas tour as he wanted to manage his workload.

However, the move to play the BPL came as a shock to many, but Shaheen is yet to deliver his best with the ball. He headlined with the bat in the first match, but since then, he has had an average tournament so far.

Talking about the ongoing match, Barishal are 58/2 after 5.5 overs and need 111 runs in 85 balls. Meanwhile, the Barishal are yet to explore Shaheen's full potential and they would want the southpaw to return to his best soon.
