In the ongoing 2nd Test between Pakistan and South Africa at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town, Salman Ali Agha has entered the history books after a valuable knock in the 2nd innings. Notably, Pakistan, who were once struggling in this 2nd Test, are now looking to produce an upset to stun the WTC 2025 finalists.

Notably, after the end of the first innings, South Africa enforced a follow-on as Pakistan trailed by 421 runs. It was assumed that South Africa would win by an inning, but Shan Masood and his Co. changed the course of the match.

The skipper himself scored a century, while Babar Azam too stitched a fifty-plus score. Pakistan were cruising well but dealt a few heavy blows, but Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha put the chase back on track.

Notably, at the time of writing this article, Agha and Rizwan have stitched an 86-run stand for the 6th wicket. Talking about Agha, he is batting on 40 (78) and has entered the history books with his feat.

It is worth noting that with the batting knock, Salman has completed 2000+ runs across formats. Further, Agha has also 30+ wickets across formats, and he has joined the elite list featuring Mohammad Hafeez to become only the second Pakistani batter to score 2000+ runs and 30+ wickets across formats by a player who made his debut in the 21st century. 

Talking about the match, Pakistan have taken the lead and are 3 runs ahead in the match with four wickets in hand.
