As soon as you think you've seen everything on the cricket field, Pakistan come up with something special that leaves everyone in splits. Similarly, during the World Cup 2023 match against Australia on Friday (October 20), Babar Azam & Co. took a hilarious decision at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
More significantly, it happened right after the first ball was bowled in a contest between two star-studded sides.
Shaheen Afridi began the attack, bowling an angled-in delivery to David Warner to kick off the proceedings. Warner came down the track, but as soon as he saw it was not for a smash, went for a defensive push.
In the process, the ball got an inside edge before going to hit Warner’s pads.
Even to the naked eyes, it felt Warner got an inside edge. Yet, Shaheen Afridi was too much interested for DRS, and thus, he pleaded to Babar Azam to take a DRS. Even Mohammad Rizwan was not too sure behind the stumps, but Babar agreed with Shaheen and eventually gave the T signal.

The replay showed exactly what was anticipated, as there was a clear inside edge, and the ball anyway would have missed the stumps had it not hit Warner’s bat.
