Virat Kohli got to his 48th ODI hundred on Thursday (October 19) in India’s World Cup match against Bangladesh in Pune. The ace batsman, who has been in impeccable form in the competition, slammed a glorious six against Nasum Ahmed to help India take the finishing line against the Tigers.

Kohli was eager to cross the three-digit mark, and thus, he was refusing to take singles as the match was totally in control for the Men in Blue.  Eventually, the talismanic No. 3 notched there during the 42nd over of India's innings, and guess what, he reached the landmark, and at the same time, took his side past the finishing line.

It was a low full-toss by Nasum, and Kohli came down the track to slam it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. Soon after, he raised his arms to celebrate the milestone for yet another time, and in the process, India completed four successive victory in the competition, all while chasing.

Fondly called as the 'Chase Master' by his ardent fans, Kohli walked into the middle after Rohit Sharma's departure when the scoreboard read 88/1. He remained not out till the end to get the job done, and KL Rahul gave him fitting support to make it happen.

Notably, it was 78th century of Kohli across formats.
