Promising Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan had a memorable Test debut, as he slammed a sensational fifty in the ongoing game against England in Rajkot. Coming at number six, the dashing Mumbaikar hammered the Englishmen all around the park to compile a flamboyant half-century on his debut Test appearance.

After hitting several stunning boundaries, Sarfaraz smashed one straight over the bowler's head to record his first six in international cricket.

The incident occurred in the 77th over when England turned up to Tom Hartley for a breakthrough. However, the move backfired on the visitors as the debutant schooled him, hitting him for a massive six straight down the ground.

It was a flighted delivery from Hartley as he invited Sarfaraz for a lofted shot. The batter accepted the invitation gleefully, collecting six runs with a monstrous hit over his head.

Soon after hitting the six, Sarfaraz took a single to score his first half-century in international cricket.

Earlier in the day, India had a disastrous start to their innings, losing three wickets with only 33 runs on the board. However, a sublime hundred from Rohit Sharma and exceptional knocks from Jadeja and Sarfaraz have powered the hosts to a formidable 310-run total for four wickets as of writing.
