Ace Pakistani batter Babar Azam will hold the key for Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming Pakistan Super League season. The star batter, who was impressive in the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand, is gearing up for the lucrative league. 

However, days before the PSL 2024, Babar was cleaned up by a net bowler, which grabbed the attention of fans as well as experts. 

In a video going viral on social media, the former Pakistani captain can be seen struggling against the spin bowler. In Peshawar Zalmi's practice session, the youngster troubled Babar time and again before eventually cleaning him up with an absolute jaffa.

From the camera angle, it seems to be a googly from the rookie to get rid of the maestro, who has been Pakistan's mainstay with the bat across formats. Babar, unable to read the length, can be seen getting stuck in the crease, with the ball beating his bat to hit the timber. 

Hailed for his consistency, Babar Azam emerged as the most successful batter from Peshawar Zalmi in PSL last year, amassing 522 runs at an astonishing average of 52.2 and a strike rate of 145.4. Babar, who looked in scintillating touch during his brief BPL 2024 stint, will lead the Zalmi in the PSL 2024 starting the day after tomorrow.
