Sanju Samson's miserable knock of 19-ball 15 came to an end on Sunday (May 12) in Match 61 of IPL 2024 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

After struggling frequently in Chepauk, Samson tried to break the shackles during the 15th over of Rajasthan's innings. And he holed out straight to Ruturaj Gaikwad, who made no mistake while taking a sharp catch at mid-off.

It was Simarjeet’s third wicket of the day after he got the better of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler earlier. No wonder he was delighted, as he went to punch the air while roaring aggressively to celebrate Samson’s wicket.

The RR skipper, on the other hand, had a smile on his face, as the timing was so exquisite, yet he failed to find the gap between the fielders.

At the time of writing this, Rajasthan are 121/3 after 17.3 overs, with Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag in the middle, batting on 23* and 34* respectively. Simarjeet Singh, meanwhile, finished with excellent figures of 3/28 after four overs.
