As Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have asked the people at MA Chidambaram Stadium to wait after the Rajasthan Royals' match on Sunday, sudden speculation has re-emerged regarding MS Dhoni's retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 42-year-old, India's most successful captain of all time, has been trying as much as possible to bring entertainment and joy to his beloved fans. However, as CSK are playing their final league match at Chepauk today, there is the possibility that it will be his last match at his den, where he created a legacy ever since the inception of the competition, back in 2008.

Netizens on social media, who have been adoring Dhoni for a while, started begging on social media ever since CSK's announcement was made. They all want to hear the two magic words 'definitely not', which he uttered to demolish retirement talks in IPL 2024.

Now only time will tell whether Dhoni is all set to hang up his boots or not. The possibility is very high, as there will be mega auction before the start of the next edition, and Dhoni should ideally set up his troops for future rather than stay in the playing XI.

Here are some of the reactions on social media on MS Dhoni's retirement speculations.

At the time of writing this, Dhoni is keeping behind the stumps, with Rajasthan batting on 74/2 after 12 overs.
