The 27th match of IPL 2024 between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals has started quite well for Rajasthan Royals as they have been able to take wickets at regular intervals to reduce Punjab Kings to 70-5. It could have been 70-6, but Samson failed to grab an acrobatic catch of Livingstone to give PBKS and Englishman a much-needed second life.

It was the 13th over of the match and Kuldeep Sen bowled a beautiful good-length delivery, around off. Livingstone who was facing his first ball, just tried to defend that but the ball caught the outside edge of his blade and flew right to Samson behind the stumps.

The RR skipper dived full-length and got a glove on it too, but unfortunately, the ball did not stick.

Earlier, RR won the toss and decided to bowl first with some important players missing in both the sides. Punjab Kings are without Shikhar Dhawan while Rajasthan Royals are without Jos Buttler and Ravi Ashwin. 

Out of the three, currently Shikhar Dhawan is one who has been missed most as Punjab Kings top order failed miserably against a quality Rajasthan Royals bowling unit.
