In an amusing incident caught on camera, Mumbai Indians (MI) ex-captain Rohit Sharma took the bus driver's seat and urged fans to clear the way so he could drive the team to the stadium.
Mumbai finally got off to a winning start at home after three back-to-back losses in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season. In the previous game, MI trashed Bengaluru brutally by chasing down 199 runs target inside 16 overs.
That being said, next up on MI's radar would be arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The two heavyweight rivals will lock horns in a high-octane clash scheduled at Wankhede on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, ahead of the big game, Mumbai had a practice session scheduled at Wankhede. As the players boarded the bus for the venue, ex-captain Rohit Sharma entertained the fans waiting outside with his witty side.
As MI players boarded the bus, Rohit jumped to the driver's seat and gestured to the cheering fans to clear the way as he wanted to drive the bus to the stadium himself.
The humorous incident was caught on camera and has been widely shared on the internet. Rohit Sharma's teammates at the back saw him in the driver's seat and busted into laughter.
With a smile on his face, the seasoned cricketer seemed to enjoy the light-hearted moment, adding a touch of fun to the team's preparations ahead of the crucial encounter against CSK.
MI, having set up a rivalry with CSK over the years in the IPL, would aim to extend their win record and move upwards into the points table.
