The El-Clasico of IPL 2024 is finally here! Mumbai Indians are ready to take on Chennai Super Kings at the iconic Wankhede Stadium and it promises to be a cracking encounter between two traditional heavyweights. MI have won two out of the five matches played so far while CSK have won three and lost two. 

Both teams are coming into this game on the back of a convincing victory, and let's try to analyze the team combination that CSK will prefer for this all-important game.

In the last game, CSK were without Deepak Chahar, Matheesha Pathirana because of their respective injuries, and the latter is expected to get fit for this game. The Sri Lankan pacer will most likely replace his countryman Maheesh Theekshana as Wankhede is likely to assist pacers more than spinners.

Shardul Thakur is likely to retain his place despite a bad game against KKR, and alongside him the duo of Mustafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande are likely to play a big role. 

The batting looks more or less settled with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra at the top of the order and the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dube in the middle order.

However, CSK's biggest strength is their batting depth with Jadeja and MSD donning the finisher roles. They have all the arsenal to go big at the Wankhede and let's see how the Yellove Army shapes up against Hardik Pandya and co.
