West Indies' skipper Rovman Powell played an impactful knock during his side's ongoing T20 World Cup Super Eight encounter against England at Daren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia.

However, he couldn't complete a well-deserved half century as England's part-time bowler Liam Livingstone dismissed him for 36.

The incident occurred during the 15th over of West Indies' innings when Powell was forming a consolidating stand alongside Nicholas Pooran. While Pooran struggled to get going, Powell quickly shifted gears to stun England with his blazing cameo.

The Windies skipper took a particular liking on Livingstone, smashing him for three huge sixes to up the ante. However, the leg-spinner had the last laugh, outfoxing Powell with his variations.

Despite being hit for three sixes, Livingstone tossed the ball up as it turned away from Powell after pitching around the full length. The batter fell in the trap, trying for another big shot only to get an outside edge.

The ball gobbled up in the air and went to Mark Wood, who took a spectacular catch in the short third man to end his stay.

Meanwhile, West Indies were cruising towards a fighting total, placed at 155 for four in 17.3 overs as of writing.
