Indian skipper Rohit Sharma's tasteful innings were brought to an end by the lethal pacer Mitchell Starc in the Super 8 game of the T20 World Cup 2024 between India and Australia at St. Lucia.

Vintage Rohit Sharma's quickfire knock of 92 runs off just 41 balls almost seemed revengeful against their arch-rivals, as if he wanted to avenge the dreadful not-to-be-named day in November 2023.

In the 12th over, Starc got the biggest of all, Rohit Sharma with an absolute peach. Starc bowled a full length delivery angled back in from wide of the crease. Rohit, who was back in the crease looked to whip it across the line. 

He brought his bat across however failed to pick the line of the ball. It sneaked through hitting the middle and leg stumps. He nailed the yorker on the stumps and Rohit unfortunately got an inside edge on his back pad and that led in his wicket.

However, he had successfully done his job long-before with those sensational sixes and fours.
