The sour relationship between Hardik Pandya and the Mumbai Indians fans is a secret to none. Pandya, who started his career with Mumbai Indians, shifted his base to Gujarat Titans, leading them to their maiden IPL title in 2022. 

However, in a dramatic turn of events, the experienced all-rounder left the Titans' camp and rejoined MI via an all-cash deal just before the mini auction last year. 

But since making the controversial move, Pandya has been in the firing line of passionate MI fans, who have constantly targeted him on the field. 

Being avid fans of MI's ex-captain Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai crowd went after Pandya yet again during their ongoing face-off against Chennai Super Kings this evening. 

Just like the previous matches, the spectators booed Pandya with 'Rohit, Rohit' chants as soon as he entered the field for toss alongside his CSK counterpart Ruturaj Gaikwad. 

The video clip soon went viral on social media, getting mixed reactions from fans and experts. Meanwhile, regarding the match, the Super Kings made a resounding comeback following cheap dismissals of Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra, with Gaikwad and Shivam Dube playing scintillating knocks. 

As of writing, the visitors were 139 for two in 14.4 overs, with Gaikwad and Dube batting on 59* and 49*, respectively.
