West Indies' experienced all-rounder Romario Shepherd showcased his bowling attributes on Sunday, as he registered a clinical three-wicket haul to rattle South Africa in the second T20I of the ongoing three-match series. 

After Shamar Joseph dismissed Ryan Rickelton, Shepherd got the prized scalp of a well-set Reeza Hendricks, triggering a Proteas collapse. 

The incident occurred during the sixth over of South Africa's innings when they were in a commanding position, placed at 71/1 in pursuit of a 180-run target. 

West Indies skipper Rovman Powell's decision to bring Shepherd for the final over of the powerplay worked wonders, as the seamer got rid of Hendricks, who was batting beautifully in the middle. 

After keeping things tight in his first four deliveries, Shepherd bowled a back-of-the-length delivery wide outside the off stump, inviting Hendricks for a cut shot. 

As the batter went for it with hard hands, he inside-edged it, with the ball shattering the stumps. His dismissal opened the floodgates for the visitors, as they were bowled out for 149 runs. 

West Indies seal series with emphatic win in 2nd T20I

With the convincing victory in the second T20I in Tarouba, Trinidad, the Men in Maroon took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. The final dead-rubber between the two sides will be played at the same venue on August 28 at 12.30 AM IST.
