Indian cricketer and CSK star Ambati Rayudu recently withdrew his Texas Super Kings contract from the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023 season. The former batsman cited personal reasons behind the move, which prompted the franchise to look for alternate options.

As it turns out, the Texas Super Kings has now signed in another CSK star in the form of legendary T20 spinner Imran Tahir.

Texas Super Kings welcomes Tahir for MLC 2023

The Texas-based MLC franchise shared a special clip of Imran Tahir on Twitter in a bid to welcome the veteran spinner. In the caption, they highlighted the cricketer’s prior association with the team’s sister franchise CSK by writing:

“Imran Tahir in yellow, again!”

Imran Tahir spent four seasons at the CSK camp from IPL 2018 till the 2021 edition of the tournament. During his run under MS Dhoni’s guidance, the right-arm spinner claimed 35 wickets from his 27 appearances. Overall, he bagged 82 wickets in IPL from 59 games, at an average of just below 21.

He was also a part of an IPL winning side on two occasions, both for CSK in 2018 and 2021.
