KL Rahul Ready For Comeback; Shares Fitness Update

Indian batsman KL Rahul is well and truly into recovery mode ahead of the upcoming blockbuster cricket season.Rahul has not played a single competitive game ever since he injured his knee during the recent season of the Indian Premier League.

The extent of the injury was such that the right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman had to go under the knife, forcing him out of the World Test Championship final and the forthcoming West Indies tour.

Rahul underwent a successful surgery on May 09, and since then, he has been rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

On Monday, KL took to his Instagram account and Twitter account to post a candid picture with a caption - "Starting to feel like me again. " The caption suggests that Rahul is nearing full fitness and we might see him playing for India pretty soon.

Meanwhile, reports have also suggested that the upcoming Asia Cup could mark the return of the enigmatic Karnataka batsman. KL Rahul is an important part of the Indian ODI side and with World Cup around the corner, India would be hoping that he gets some runs under his belt in the Asia Cup that will be played between August 31-September 17 in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
