In the ongoing series decider match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, the visitors are in deep trouble as they have lost three wickets for 210 runs but are running out of overs.
Kamran Ghulam is fighting for Pakistan to put a respectable total on the board as he has smashed his maiden ODI century. Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan is facing the heat as he played a sluggish knock.
Notably, Rizwan scored 37 (47), which featured four fours and a solitary six. However, he played a slow knock that irked the fans. Rizwan looked to change the gears in the 40th over, and he smashed a six off Sikandar Raza on the 1st ball. However, Raza bounced back and got rid of Rizwan.
Rizwan looked to hit towards long-off, but the bat twisted in his hands and the ball went in long on's direction. The Pakistan skipper was disappointed with himself after playing that shot.
Tough Times With The Bat For Rizwan Since Becoming Captain
It is worth noting that since becoming the permanent captain for Pakistan, Rizwan has been struggling to score a solitary fifty-plus score. Even against Australia, the keeper batter's top-score was 44 (71) in the first ODI.
He scored just 74 in two innings in ODIs vs Australia, and in the ongoing series against Zimbabwe, he has amassed 56 runs in two innings as well. It is worth noting that the ongoing match is a series decider as Zimbabwe registered a historic win in the 1st ODI, before Pakistan bounced back courtesy of Saim Ayub's century.
At the time of writing this article, Pakistan are 251/4 after 45.4 overs.
