The Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants played a highly competitive contest in the fifth match of the IPL 2025. The match was played at the second home ground of the Delhi Capitals at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The competition between the two teams was intense as the game boiled down to the nerve wracking stage. While the match was boiling down to its final stages, a hilarious incident happened between Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav.

On the second delivery of the 18th over, Ravi Bishnoi was bowling to Kuldeep Yadav. The LSG spinner bowled a googly which the batter failed to read. Kuldeep got beaten by the ball and it went to Rishabh Pant behind the stumps.

Pant Pushes Kuldeep Out Of The Crease

The LSG skipper and wicketkeeper pushed Kuldeep Yadav out of the crease and tried to dislodge the bails to effect a run out. In general it would have been a punishable offence. However, it was a fun moment two great friends and every won understood that every thing was done to lighten the tension of a high-voltage game.

Coming back to the game, it was very high voltage clash that boiled down to the last over of the game. However, it was Ashutosh Sharma who kept his nerves till the end and scripted a once in a life-time comeback for DC.
