3 Reasons Delhi Capitals Are Missing KL Rahul Against LSG In IPL 2025

When team swaps happen in IPL, fans eagerly wait for the performance of the particular player against their old franchise.  The same was the hype building around KL Rahul ahead of the DC vs LSG match in IPL 2025.

However, much to the disappointment of the DC fans, KL Rahul was not able to play against his previous franchise as he was expecting his first child. In his absence, the DC top-order crumbled like nine pins and the Axar Patel-led side was missing the Indian superstar. 

Here are three reasons why DC was missing KL Rahul today - 

1. A Complementary player to Jake Fraser-McGurk

The LSG were tasked with chasing down a tall target in the match against the Delhi Capitals. Jake Fraser-McGurk is an attacking batter at the top of the order and could take down bowling attacks by hitting brutally. They needed someone like KL Rahul, who could have calmed the nerves down of the team and build a platform in such a big 

2. Dependable IPL performer

KL Rahul has been a trusted performer in the IPL. Over the years he has scored hundreds of runs in the tournament and has often been in the contention for Orange cap. Given the consistency and the ability to play under pressure Rahul has shown, his presence would have shown added solidity and stability to the DC batting line-up.

3. Composed batting nature

Over the years, KL Rahul has shown that he has nerves of steel. He has played some stellar knocks under pressure and has often given great test of character. With the team needing to chase down more than 200 runs the calm and composed nature could have been the biggest asset for the Delhi Capitals.
