India's Axar Patel turned out to be the new sensation on Thursday, as India were in total control against England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024, taking place at Providence Stadium, Guyana.
After posting a challenging target of 172, India desperately needed someone who could lead by example with the ball. Axar was the man, as he got three wickets in three overs, that too on the very first ball on each occasion.

The best wicket of all was how Axar bamboozled an in-form Jonny Bairstow during the sixth over of England’s innings. It was a skidder by Axar, and Bairstow expected it would turn, resulting in the ball knocking over the stumps while he kept on watching after a three-ball duck.
