In the ongoing women's Asia Cup semi-finals between India and Bangladesh at the Dambulla International Stadium, Women In Blue's star bowler Renuka Singh took a three-wicket haul and entered into history books.

Renuka, who has made a name for herself by taking wickets in the powerplay, rose to the occasion and bowled four overs in a Trott. In her four-over spell, she took three wickets. Moreover, Renuka drew the first blood for India in the first over itself when she got rid of Dilara Akter on the 4th ball. 

She Striked again on the last ball of her second over. Her third wicket came in her third over and got rid of Murshida Khatun.

With the feat, Renuka became the third Indian pacer to take 50 T20I wickets. Only Pooja Vastrakar and Jhulan Goswami have more wickets than Renuka. However, Renuka is the first Indian seamer to take 50 T20I wickets in women's cricket.

Also, it is the fifth time that Renuka has taken three-wickets in the power play. No other bowler has did the same more than thrice. At the time of writing this article, Bangladesh are 50/6 after 16 overs.
